“The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
This post is all about Steve Jobs. Many of you only know him as the man who created the cell phone that’s in their pocket but he was one of the best businessmen of all time. Watching his power point presentations and learning about him beyond the Apple Inc. has taught me how brave he was.
Like many businesses, Apple had its trouble at first. From significant design flaws to other business partners not wanting Steve apart of the company anymore, hard times were faced. The one part of Steve that never changed was the way he could deliver a product. He was so business-savvy and persuasive with his presentations that Apple skyrocketed.
In his presentations he brought humor and intelligence that reeled everyone in. He was able to use his smarts and skills to make people believe they needed this product. And the truth is, they did need these products! Steve helped design technology that made life much easier. He was a complete genius, but even geniuses can’t escape life.
In 2003, he found out he had a neuroendocrine tumor, which is a rare form of pancreatic cancer. Instead of getting surgery right away, he tried living a healthier lifestyle to see if that would help. He didn’t want the public to know about his cancer. When his “healthy living” hadn’t worked and his appearance began changing, the public knew something was up. In 2004 he decided to get surgery to remove the tumor that luckily turned out successful. As years passed, the cancer came back and it became too much for his body to handle. On October 5, 2011 Apple Inc. announced that Steve had passed away.
Even after all of his struggles, Steve Jobs never gave up on what he believed in. He wanted to help the world by creating amazing technology. He truly is one of the most fascinating and brave people out there.
